Well as you know, yesterday was my special day. It was super fun and I have the following slideshow to prove it:
When I woke up in the morning, mommy let me wear my pretty princess dress that Auntie Lisa and Mrs. Di got for me in Disneyworld. Then we did a photoshoot where mommy tried to take tons of pictures for me while I ran around the house and made a huge mess. I also got to talk on the phone to my Ba Ngoai (Grandma Anne), my Grandpa Busath, my Ba Noi (Grandma June) and my Aunt Monica.
Then in the afternoon, I woke up and a bunch of my friends were in our house eating pizza!. Jacob was here and it was his birthday too, and Richard, Sierra and Asha – plus all their parents and Uncle Nam and mom’s Uncle Dan and her cousins Kellie and Becca.
We played a little bit and then I got to eat a chocolate cupcake. It sure was good, I think I have mommy’s sweet tooth. It took me a while to eat the whole cupcake and then daddy made me take a bath for some reason. After that Richard and Jacob helped me open some fun presents (more on that in a future post).
Well, Maddy, you turned 1 year old at around 2:30pm this afternoon. It’s been the most wonderful year of our lives, your daddy and I love you soooooo much. Here’s a slideshow to remind everyone of your cutest moments over the past twelve months:
Tomorrow after we’ve slept a bit more and maybe cleaned up a bit, Maddy will post some pictures of her birthday fun.
We had a pretty eventful week this week for a variety of reasons.
1) I was in my 3rd car accident (yes, my THIRD). Luckily we haven’t been hurt in any of these, but mom’s car is not doing so well. We’re working on finding new routes to get home from daycare now. The weird thing is that my two oldest cousins (Malcolm and Jimmy) were both in accidents that same day – they’re okay now, though.
<-There you see what happened this week, and this-> is from just 2 months ago, geez!
2) My 7th tooth started coming in. Pretty soon I’ll be able to eat steak. My parents are worried that I’m going to need braces like they did because so far the teeth I have are kinda crooked. Hopefully when I get my grownup teeth they will be straighter.
3) I got my first early birthday present from Susette, my daycare teacher. They’re big girl shoes that squeak when I walk! I love them, but mommy and daddy got kind of tired of listening to me take laps around the kitchen after about 10 minutes.
4) My mommy and daddy helped Yahoo! start testing a new homepage this week – ohhhhhh exciting! I’m hoping that now they’ll be able to pick me up earlier at daycare and stop getting back on their computers the second we get home every night.
